Bardstown Collaboration Series Plantation Rum Finish 10 Year Old Tennessee Straight Bourbon Whiskey 750ml

The Bardstown Bourbon Company's recent addition to their Collaborative series is a unique blend of bourbon and Jamaican rum, produced in partnership with Plantation Rum. This release features a 10-year-old Tennessee Bourbon that has been finished for 22 months in Plantation Rum barrels.

The brand describes the resulting spirit as having a sweet and spicy aroma, with notes of orange peel, allspice, and cinnamon, followed by the enticing scent of banana bread and rich caramel. On the palate, apple crisp and molasses flavors give way to a balanced finish of fruit and spice. The end result is a luxurious summer sipper that beautifully blends the finest characteristics of both bourbon and rum.

Plantation Rum is produced at the West Indies Rum Distillery in Barbados, using distilleries in Jamaica, Trinidad, Peru, and Fiji for rum aging and distillation. The rum is then blended and finished by Maison Ferrand, a top Cognac maker in France, which emphasizes the influence of terroir on rum's flavor and complexity. In this instance, the Xayamaca (Jamaican) expression was used to finish the bourbon, highlighting and complementing the best qualities of both spirits.
