The Hennessy Master Blender's Selection No.2 Cognac is the second release in a highly sought-after series of premium cognacs that celebrate the art of blending. This exceptional spirit was masterfully crafted by Renaud Fillioux de Gironde, the current master blender and cellar master of the House of Hennessy, following in the footsteps of retired Master Blender Yann Filoux. To create this blend, Gironde carefully married premium Eau-de-vie that had been aged for at least a decade. Each Eau-de-vie was first matured for 18 months in new, coarse-grained French oak barrels before being transferred to older, more experienced oak barrels for finishing. Bottled at cask strength, or 43% ABV, the Master Blender's Selection No.2 is presented in a vintage-style bottle from the 1930s, with each bottle hand-numbered and signed by Fillioux de Gironde. This exquisite cognac is produced in limited quantities and boasts a complex flavor profile, with notes of white pepper, apricots, and sweet vanilla on the nose, and a palate of baked cloves, nutmeg, pepper, and rich spice.
