Originally intended as Gonzalez's personal collection, this exquisite tequila is handmade using the finest extra mature agaves grown in the rich soil of Atotonico, Mexico. The agave is roasted and macerated to create a refined aguamiel distillate that is then aged for a minimum of 4.5-5 years in a combination of carefully selected barrels. These include 50% ex-Scotch whisky barrels, 25% Sherry casks, and 25% French Limousin barrels previously used to age fine cognac. The tequila is then expertly blended and bottled at 43% ABV. With its delightful bouquet of vanilla and honeysuckle, complemented by hints of dark cherries, toffee, and cream, this exceptional liquor is a treat for the senses.
